Ratings: NBC Edges Out Tuesday Competition With ‘America’s Got Talent’ Quarter Finals Kickoff

The CW’s “Mysteries Decoded” has a rough start

“America’s Got Talent” commenced its quarterfinal rounds Tuesday and won itself the name of the highest-rated primetime system of the evening along the way. It also helped home network NBC border out its broadcast competition to earn both 18-49 demo and total viewers.

Meanwhile, The CW’s fresh series, “Mysteries Decoded,” started simply because a mystery to many viewers - as in not many people watched it.

NBC was first in ratings with a 1.2 rating/6 share in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic and altogether viewers with typically 7.2 million, relating to preliminary numbers. From 8-10 p.m., “America’s Acquired Talent” scored a 1.4/7 and 9 million visitors. “Bring the Funny” at 10 brought a 0.7/4 and 3.7 million viewers.

ABC was second in ratings with a 0.9/5 and third in viewers with 3.2 million. At 8, “Bachelor in Paradise” put up a 1.1/5 and 4.1 million viewers. Back-to-back repeats followed.

CBS was third in ratings with a 0.5/2 and second in viewers with 4.1 million. The network aired just encores during primetime.

Fox and Telemundo tied for fourth found in ratings, each with a good 0.4/2. Fox was fourth in viewers with 1.6 million and Telemundo was fifth with 1 million.

For Fox, carrying out a game-display rerun, “First Responders Live” at 9 settled for a 0.4/2 and 1.7 million visitors.

Univision was sixth in ratings with a 0.3/2 and in viewers with 980,000.

The CW was seventh in ratings with a 0.1/1 and in visitors with 545,000. At 8, “Pandora” managed a 0.1/1 and 611,000 audiences. At 9, the series premiere of “Mysteries Decoded” experienced a 0.1/0 and 456,000 viewers.
